About The Position

The Retail Supervisor coordinates the activities of retail attendants and ensures shifts are adequately covered. The role has day-to-day responsibility for employees on scheduled shifts and supports the Store Manager with daily operations, including employee training, recruitment, and scheduling. The supervisor provides customer service, manages cash-register transactions and inventory, protects company assets, and helps maintain a clean and safe store environment. The position reports to the Manager – One Stop Convenience Store and is located in Holton, Kansas.

Requirements

At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a retail environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Ability to work under pressure while providing excellent guest service.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, and punctuality.
Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured.
Reliable transportation and ability to work in inclement weather.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Successfully complete a math proficiency test.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for the entire shift, up to 10 hours.

Nice To Haves

Two-year degree preferred.
Six months of prior sales, cashier, or money-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate retail attendants’ activities and ensure shifts are adequately covered.
Oversee employees working scheduled shifts.
Operate the cash register and process cash and credit transactions during supervisor shifts.
Adjust schedules or pick up additional hours to meet business demands.
Provide speedy, attentive customer service and promote guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels and stock merchandise during assigned shifts.
Protect company assets and follow company and compliance policies.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for employees and customers.
Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations, including employee training, recruitment, and scheduling across shifts.
Ensure self and night/weekend attendants comply with company policies and procedures.
Address customer questions and concerns professionally and promptly, seeking satisfactory outcomes for guests and the company.
Complete and submit weekly reports as assigned.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
