About The Position

The Rockford IceHogs are seeking a Part-Time Retail Store Clerk to provide superior guest service and accurately operate the cash register for merchandise sales. This role requires the ability to interact with a large number of customers in a fast-paced environment, maintain an awareness of merchandise, keep the store stocked, and ensure displays are neat and properly signed. The position is seasonal, running from September through April, and is part of the Business Operations department, reporting to the Manager of Retail and Administration.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass a criminal and credit background check
• Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
• Must be friendly and personable with excellent customer service skills
• Must be a team player and work well with others
• Must be able to stand for long periods during hockey games
• Must be able to lift boxes of merchandise and move racks around store

Nice To Haves

• Retail experience preferred with excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering superior guest service
• Accurately and quickly operate the cash register to sell merchandise
• Demonstrate ability to interact with large masses of customers in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain an awareness of all apparel/merchandise options
• Keep store fully stocked by pulling back stock of merchandise
• Maintain displays, neatness of store and proper signage
