About The Position

The Retail Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing cleaning tasks throughout the store, while maintaining cleanliness, organization, recovery, and safety standards. The associate also supports customer experience, store operations, and coverage needs by working in multiple store areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the scrubber and buffer and perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards and maintain and operate the scrubber and buffer.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink reduction.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
