Retail Store Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Retail Store Cleaning Associate maintains a clean and organized TJ Maxx store, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing routine cleaning throughout the store. Associates follow operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss prevention standards, and are cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate helps provide a positive customer experience and contributes to a store culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect. The position is located at TJ Maxx Store 0704, 4511 E Cactus Rd, Phoenix, Arizona. Starting pay is USD $15.15 to $15.65 per hour; actual pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the floor scrubber and buffer, and perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Cross-train in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
- Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink reduction.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures, including associate meal and break period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
