About The Position

Rowan is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Retail Store Associate for its Grand Boulevard studio. The associate creates a welcoming shopping and piercing experience, helps customers select and style piercings and jewelry, and brings Rowan’s brand, product knowledge, and ear-stacking approach to life through customer interactions. The position is hourly and non-exempt, reports to the Studio Manager, and supports the team on weekends. The role combines customer service and sales with studio upkeep, inventory support, transaction processing, and administrative tasks. The associate works closely with the Studio Manager and Studio Nurse Piercers to deliver seamless service and help maintain a clean, safe, positive studio environment.

Requirements

Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
Strong communication skills.
Strong basic math skills.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift.
Ability to perform tasks that may include climbing ladders, bending, lifting, pushing, and reaching above and below the waist.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet and welcome customers and help create a celebratory environment.
Check customers in or help them book appointments using POS, technology, and software systems.
Help customers choose and style piercings and hypoallergenic non-piercing jewelry.
Answer customer questions about piercing procedures, aftercare, and products in person and by phone.
Promote and upsell Rowan products, including non-piercing jewelry and aftercare kits.
Maintain current knowledge of product materials, styles, and care instructions.
Meet or exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics by communicating the value of Rowan’s services and products and converting piercing customers into non-piercing jewelry customers.
Keep the studio clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies, jewelry, piercing products, and cleaning products.
Follow health and safety regulations, particularly those related to piercing procedures and hygiene.
Assist managers with receiving, restocking, pricing, displaying, cleaning, and maintaining inventory and visual displays.
Work with the Studio Manager and Studio Nurse Piercers to provide seamless customer service.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve skills and product knowledge.
Support studio-wide goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Accurately process sales, returns, and exchanges.
Conduct regular stock checks and replenish displays as needed.
Maintain accurate customer records, including consent and waiver forms and aftercare instructions.
