About The Position

Rowan is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Retail Store Associate for its The Westchester studio. This hourly, non-exempt position supports the team, particularly on weekends, by helping create a welcoming piercing and shopping experience. The associate assists customers with ear piercings, jewelry selection and styling, product recommendations, appointment check-in and booking, and questions about procedures, aftercare, and products. The role also supports sales goals, studio cleanliness and safety, inventory and visual displays, transactions, and accurate customer records. The associate works closely with the Studio Manager and Studio Nurse Piercers and participates in team meetings and training. Open and flexible availability, including flexibility from week to week, is desired. The role requires working weekends, nights, and holidays.

Retail or service industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome customers and help create a celebratory studio environment.
Check customers in and help them book appointments using POS, technology, and software systems.
Help customers choose and style piercings and hypoallergenic non-piercing jewelry.
Answer customer questions about piercing procedures, aftercare, and products in person and by phone.
Promote Rowan products, including non-piercing jewelry and aftercare kits, and maintain current product knowledge.
Work toward or exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics by communicating the value of Rowan’s services and products and converting piercing customers into non-piercing jewelry customers.
Keep the studio clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies, jewelry, piercing products, and cleaning products.
Follow health and safety regulations, especially those related to piercing procedures and hygiene.
Assist managers with receiving, restocking, pricing, displaying, cleaning, and maintaining inventory and visual displays.
Work with the Studio Manager and Studio Nurse Piercers to provide seamless customer service.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions and support studio-wide goals and a positive work environment.
Accurately process sales, returns, and exchanges.
Conduct stock checks and replenish displays as needed.
Maintain accurate customer records, including consent and waiver forms and aftercare instructions.
