About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role provides compassionate, attentive service and helps CVS Health support customers’ health and wellness needs. Associates may support departments including photo, beauty, and pharmacy, and may work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including processing cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
