About The Position

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy facility. The role includes daily cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, servicing restrooms, and emptying trash and recycling. The Cleaner follows assigned routes and cleaning sequences, maintains equipment and supplies, observes safety procedures, and reports damaged items or mechanical and electrical issues to a supervisor. Work is primarily indoors and involves moving throughout different areas of the facility, with occasional outdoor tasks such as taking out trash. Cleaning tasks may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and routine noise levels. The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds and standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift. Effective communication in English and a professional, neat appearance are required. Requirements

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Ability to perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Ability to maintain clean, organized, and sanitary restrooms.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to follow routines, instructions, and safety procedures.
Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Cleaner or Janitor.

Responsibilities

Empty trash and recycling bins, replace liners as needed, and keep receptacles clean.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, work areas, and high-touch surfaces.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors following the assigned cleaning route.
Inspect areas for items of value and place found items on the nearest table or desk.
Report mechanical or electrical issues, including problems with locks, doorknobs, light bulbs, and fixtures, to the supervisor.
Report broken or damaged items before or during the shift.
Move cleaning carts and equipment safely and follow the designated cleaning sequence.
Vacuum and mop elevator lobbies, hallways, and other assigned common areas.
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working order.
Follow all safety and company procedures.
