Batteries Plus is seeking a Retail Sales Associate, with opportunities for management trainee roles. This position involves helping customers find the right products, services, and solutions. The role offers a fun and exciting team atmosphere where you can be a 'hero' to customers by understanding their needs and providing solutions. The job requires using your mind, technical know-how, and desire to help customers, while earning a good living. The company provides comprehensive training, including dedicated one-on-one paid training for the first 2-3 weeks. No prior experience with their products or services is required, only a background in customer service and sales. The ideal candidate enjoys providing excellent customer service, sales, troubleshooting, and learning how to replace batteries and repair consumer electronic devices.

Requirements

• Previous retail experience preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of the store's products
• Advanced customer service skills
• Basic math skills
• The ability to use a cash register
• Strong level of professionalism at work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience when dealing with difficult customers
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, ask questions, and determine needs
• Provide a complete solution for customer needs
• Operate a technology-based Point of Sale system to complete sales transactions
• Handle inbound phone sales/service
• Install large and small batteries in various devices
• Disassemble / reassemble phones and tablets to complete repairs
• Function as a team player
• Inventory stock maintenance and management
• Ship and/or deliver to commercial accounts
• Maintain a clean and full store appearance
• Build displays to better market seasonal products
• Prepare the store for daily opening and closing
