About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for its Early Morning Stock department, with a 6:00 a.m. start time. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, support a quick and easy customer experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Depending on business needs, employees may work in different store areas. Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment duties: frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor ready, sized, and stocked through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operate point-of-sale systems, bag purchases, and handle bulky or heavy items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Sort and return clothing to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Use store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver new merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Help maintain clean, organized sales floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
