About The Position

As a Retail Shift Manager at Lidl, you will help maintain high standards in a fast-paced store environment. You will motivate and support colleagues, take responsibility for the shop floor, and help ensure the store runs smoothly. In the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager, you will manage store operations and colleagues. The role offers a 35-hour contract, with store-opening, afternoon, and store-closing shifts. Pay is £15.45–£15.95 per hour, with additional pay for bank holidays and night shifts. Lidl offers training and opportunities to progress.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and support the team, learning from Lidl’s Leadership and Company Principles.
• Swiftly solve problems and delegate tasks.
• Create an environment where colleagues can succeed.
• Manage store operations and colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager.
• Handle freshness, cash processes, inventory, and stock management to ensure shifts run smoothly.
• Give customers the best possible experience whenever they visit the store.
