About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes throughout each store and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

This permanent part-time position covers assigned stores on a weekly basis for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Base hours average 6–12 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special projects are frequently assigned, typically adding 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Work schedules and deadlines are reviewed during the interview. Associates have some flexibility in their hours while working independently, but must meet weekly deadlines and maintain dependable, quality-driven performance. The role involves continuous physical activity throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
