About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They are asked to provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The base schedule averages 3–6 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Display scanning is performed throughout the store each week and may take several hours. Custom Projects, which request more detailed information about products in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store in those weeks. Associates must report to stores within assigned deadlines and deliver dependable, quality-driven work. The role offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to personal scheduling needs and client requirements. Continuous physical activity is required during the workday shift.

The position covers a Walmart in Fairbury, Nebraska, and a convenience store in Beatrice, Nebraska. Available workdays vary by store. The role is subject to AI-assisted screening, which may be used to assess resumes for alignment with job requirements. The position is expected to remain open for approximately 30 days, but may close earlier if sufficient qualified candidates are identified.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
