About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit designated local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes throughout each store and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role involves completing display scanning across the entire store each week, along with custom projects that clients request for more specific product details in main stocking locations. Custom projects occur almost every week and can add 1–2 hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly store deadlines and deliver accurate data. The position offers workplace independence and some flexibility in working hours, subject to personal scheduling needs and client requirements.

This is a permanent part-time position averaging 2–5 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned, with higher demand from January through June. Store visits take place throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
