About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. For about 45% of scanned products, associates also report the quantity. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The route includes grocery stores in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, and Wind Gap, Pennsylvania. Available workdays are Thursday or Friday for Pen Argyl and Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday for Wind Gap. Associates must meet store deadlines. Weekly display scanning covers the entire store and may take several hours; custom projects requested by clients occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to two hours per store. Base hours average 4–9 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

The role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours. It involves continuous physical activity during the workday, including prolonged standing and repetitive movements. The position is expected to remain open for approximately 30 days, but may close earlier if enough qualified candidates are identified.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
