About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate visits a designated selection of local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed and used to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout each store and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role involves weekly Display Scanning throughout the entire store, which can take several hours, as well as Custom Projects requested by clients. These additional projects occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must report to assigned stores by weekly deadlines and work dependably and accurately. The role is permanent and part-time, with base hours averaging 2–4.5 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. The route is a grocery store in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15227, with available workdays of Thursday or Friday. Work is performed throughout the year, including holiday weeks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
