About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations throughout the store, including aisle end caps. They also provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete display scanning across the entire store every week, which can take several hours, and may perform Custom Projects that provide more specific product details in main stocking locations. Custom Projects occur almost every week and may add 1–2 hours of work per store in those weeks. Associates must meet store reporting deadlines and deliver dependable, accurate work. The role involves continuous physical activity and offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours. Base hours average 5–10 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload; additional project hours are frequently assigned throughout the year, with greater demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
