About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit assigned local stores each week and collect in-store product data. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps, and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete display scanning throughout each assigned store every week, with the work sometimes taking several hours. Custom Projects, which request additional product details in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours per store. Associates must visit stores within specified deadlines and perform this work for 52 weeks per year, including holiday weeks.

The permanent part-time position averages 6–15 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in working hours, alongside continuous physical activity during shifts.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout stores.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
