About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers. Associates visit designated stores each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks, and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. Associates also provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. Collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The weekly work includes scanning displays throughout each store, which can take several hours, and completing Custom Projects when requested. Custom Projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and deliver accurate data. The role averages 5–11 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with greater demand from January through June. Scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview.

The position offers workplace independence and some flexibility in working hours, balanced with client requirements. The work involves continuous physical activity. Assigned routes include grocery stores in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and a drug store in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, with available workdays varying by store.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
