Retail Scan Associate (Williamsport, PA 17701)

Scanscape•Loyalsock Township, PA
•$15 - $16•Onsite

About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates complete display scanning throughout each assigned store every week, a task that can take several hours. Custom Projects requesting more detailed information about products in main stocking locations occur almost weekly and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and are expected to work dependably and accurately. The role provides independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to client requirements and assigned deadlines. Base hours average 5–11 per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload; additional hours, typically 1–2 per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with greater demand from January through June. The route includes grocery stores in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and a drug store in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, on the listed available workdays.
