About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned.

This is a permanent, part-time role averaging 3–5 base hours per week across assigned stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Custom Projects occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. Associates must complete work within weekly deadlines and work throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

The position involves continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift. It offers workplace independence and some flexibility in working hours, while requiring dependable, detail-oriented work and adherence to client deadlines. Assigned routes may include convenience stores in Jesup and Urbana and a grocery store in Cedar Falls, with available workdays varying by store.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.

Responsibilities
