About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes throughout each store and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

Associates complete weekly Display Scanning across the entire store, which can take several hours. Clients also request Custom Projects for more specific product details in main stocking locations; these occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must report to assigned stores by the stated deadlines and complete work consistently throughout the year, including holiday weeks.

This permanent part-time role averages 4–10 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, while requiring continuous physical activity during work shifts. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on one’s feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
