About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent, part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role averages 5–10 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Weekly work includes scanning displays throughout the store, which can take several hours, and custom projects that may add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store in a given week. Associates must meet store deadlines. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The position offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, along with continuous physical activity during the work shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
