About The Position

The Vendor Paid Merchandise Selling Support Colleague assists customers with product selection, executes merchandise standards, and maintains selling-floor presentations for the brand or vendor they represent. As a product expert for the vendor, the colleague supports customer-readiness standards by delivering a memorable customer experience and maintaining a neat, clean, and organized shopping environment. The role is listed as seasonal and full-time. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.

Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong merchandising skills.
Ability to effectively communicate and present information to customers, peers, and all levels of management.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to use a calculator.

Responsibilities

Make the customer the top priority.
Use product knowledge to increase sales by educating and assisting customers with product choices.
Help maintain and recover the selling floor, ensuring sizes, colors, and styles are available.
Maintain appropriate selling-floor presentations by promoting events and merchandise assortments.
Keep fitting rooms customer-ready by promptly clearing brand-specific merchandise and returning it to the appropriate selling-floor area.
Provide a friendly and helpful customer experience.
Drive and exceed department goals by executing Macy’s initiatives to actively drive the business.
Communicate with vendors, Customer Experience Managers, Omni Operations Managers, and Style Merchandise Managers to support sales and event promotions.
Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
Complete other customer-facing tasks as needed.
Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Foster acceptance and respect to strengthen relationships and create authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
