About The Position

The Vendor Paid Merchandise Selling Support Colleague assists customers with product selection, executes merchandise standards, and maintains selling-floor presentations for the vendor brand represented. As a product expert for the vendor, the colleague supports customer-readiness standards by providing a memorable customer experience and keeping the shopping environment neat, clean, and organized. The role is seasonal and full-time. Macy’s describes full-time colleagues as typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. The position requires customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, communication, basic math, teamwork, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment. Retail hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The work involves prolonged standing, lifting, moving, reaching, and other physical activity.

Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills.

Frequent use of computers and other technology needed to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

Make the customer the top priority.
Use product knowledge to increase sales by educating and assisting customers with product selection.
Maintain and recover the selling floor, ensuring sizes, colors, and styles are available.
Maintain appropriate selling-floor presentation by promoting events and merchandise assortments.
Keep fitting rooms customer-ready by promptly clearing brand-specific merchandise and returning it to the appropriate selling-floor area.
Provide a friendly and helpful customer experience.
Drive and exceed department goals by executing Macy’s initiatives to drive the business.
Communicate with vendors, Customer Experience Managers, Omni Operations Managers, and Style Merchandise Managers about sales and event promotions.
Follow safety and security policies and procedures.
Complete other customer-facing tasks as needed.
Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
Foster acceptance and respect and build authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
