About The Position

The Vendor Paid Merchandise Selling Support Colleague supports customers with product selection, executes merchandise standards, and maintains selling-floor presentations for the brand or vendor they represent. As a product expert for the vendor, the colleague helps ensure customer readiness by providing a memorable customer experience and maintaining a neat, clean, and organized shopping environment. The role is seasonal and full-time; full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week, depending on business needs and availability.

Requirements

Ability to perform close-vision and color-vision tasks, including reaching above eye level.
Ability to frequently use computers and other technology to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

Make the customer the top priority.
Use product knowledge to increase sales by educating and assisting customers with product choices.
Help maintain and recover the selling floor, ensuring sizes, colors, and styles are available.
Maintain appropriate selling-floor presentations by promoting events and merchandise assortments.
Keep fitting rooms customer-ready by promptly clearing brand-specific merchandise and returning it to the appropriate selling-floor area.
Provide a friendly and helpful customer experience.
Drive and exceed department goals by executing Macy’s initiatives to drive business.
Communicate with vendors, Customer Experience Managers, Omni Operations Managers, and Style Merchandise Managers to support sales and event promotions.
Follow safety and security policies and procedures.
Complete other customer-facing tasks as needed.
Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Foster acceptance and respect to strengthen relationships and create authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
