About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments at Spokane Valley Plaza. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide a quick and easy customer experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may occasionally work in different areas of the store based on business needs. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service duties include maintaining and replenishing the salesfloor, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning clothing to the salesfloor, organizing stockrooms, accurately checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems, maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement during 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending and handling merchandise, and lifting items. Stock and Fulfillment positions have additional lifting and carrying requirements. The listed hourly pay range is $17.90–$18.60, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor runway-ready by replenishing, re-merchandising, and straightening merchandise.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including operating point-of-sale systems and bagging items.
Provide fitting room assistance by greeting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Keep customer areas clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Use technologies required in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders in accordance with packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
