About The Position

The Retail Sales Manager is a full-time hourly supervisory position at Duluth Trading Company. The role leads the store team in delivering the company’s “Go for WOW!” standard of customer service: treating customers well and creating special experiences by going above and beyond. The manager demonstrates strong customer engagement, builds product and brand knowledge, supports a customer-ready sales floor, and oversees store operations including merchandise handling, cash functions, cleanliness, safety, and employee feedback.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Develop strong familiarity with the Duluth brand and comprehensive product knowledge to provide friendly, solution-oriented customer service, and lead the store team to do the same.
Personally demonstrate a high level of service and engagement and set expectations for the team.
Manage floor coverage to engage customers and deliver the Duluth experience.
Ensure customer profile information is accurately recorded.
Respond proactively to customer concerns, provide positive resolutions, and make decisions as needed.
Maintain merchandise presentation according to visual merchandising standards, current floor sets, and product messaging; ensure the sales floor is customer-ready.
Set up sales and promotions effectively with proper signage and communication.
Execute and supervise merchandise receipts and transfers, including checking in, hanging, steaming, and visual merchandising merchandise on the sales floor.
Maintain company cleanliness standards for the sales floor, stockroom, restrooms, cash wrap, and hospitality area.
Provide employees with clear and consistent feedback on a regular basis.
Follow company guidelines, policies, and programs and set a positive example.
Understand, execute, and train employees on cash-handling and reporting functions.
Process register functions and ensure they are followed in the store.
Ensure the store is secured and respond to alarms as directed.
Help ensure the safety of employees and customers and communicate concerns to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Perform other duties as directed.
