About The Position

Johnnie-O is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Lead to work 10–15 hours per week, with a maximum of 25 hours per week. The role delivers an exceptional customer experience, builds lasting customer relationships, and contributes to the store’s success. The Retail Sales Lead helps create a welcoming, on-brand environment where customers connect with the products and the Johnnie-O lifestyle. The position is paid hourly.

Requirements

At least 4 years of retail or customer service experience, ideally in apparel or premium lifestyle brands.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect genuinely with people.
A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to customer service.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers with a friendly, authentic approach that reflects the Johnnie-O brand.
Listen to customers and understand their needs, style preferences, and fit requirements.
Provide product feedback and personalized styling suggestions.
Share product knowledge, new arrivals, and upcoming events with customers.
Maintain a client book and follow up with customers to build long-term relationships.
Meet or exceed individual sales goals.
Proactively engage customers and recommend additional products to contribute to store sales.
Participate in outreach, appointment-based selling, and event support to grow the customer base.
Keep the sales floor and fitting rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Assist with restocking, re-merchandising, and seasonal floor changes.
Support accurate inventory management and communicate stock needs to leadership.
Process transactions, returns, and exchanges efficiently and accurately.
Follow cash-handling procedures and maintain POS system accuracy.
Assist with back-of-house and replenishment responsibilities, price changes, markdowns, transfers, and other operational tasks as needed.
Open and close the store when necessary if the store manager and assistant store manager are absent.
