Seasonal & Regular Retail Sales Floor Support - Mercer Mall Rack
About The Position
As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You help provide a quick and easy shopping experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. The role may involve working in different areas of the store to maintain the sales floor and stockrooms and assist customers in finding merchandise. This position supports sales-floor merchandising, cashiering across in-store, online, and mobile transactions, fitting rooms, clothing returns, and stockroom organization. Team members use store technologies, follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards, and promote initiatives such as Nordstrom Rewards. The work involves continuous movement and frequent handling, lifting, and repositioning of merchandise.
Requirements

- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Ability to move continuously for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
- Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Keep the sales floor runway-ready, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
- Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items, handling bulky or heavy items, and providing a friendly experience.
- Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
- Sort and return clothing to the sales floor to maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience.
- Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
- Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
- Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
- Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
