About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you’ll work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You’ll help provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. You may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain the sales floor and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. The role includes sales-floor merchandising and recovery, cashiering across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, fitting-room assistance, returning clothing to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. The position pays $17.05–$17.75 per hour. Pay offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Requirements

Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway-ready, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system and bagging merchandise.
Provide a smooth fitting-room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Keep the customer experience clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Collaborate with teammates and help customers find merchandise.
