About The Position

The department of Alcoholic Beverage Services is seeking individuals with strong work ethics, ready to thrive in a challenging and dynamic work environment while enhancing their leadership skills. This is an opportunity to be part of a "spirited" team. As a Retail Sales Clerk, you will contribute to the department's service-focused mission by providing superior customer service to the public. Daily responsibilities include customer engagement, compliance and safety, point of sale operations, inventory and order fulfillment, and store operations.

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• The ability to speak clearly and understand spoken information effectively.
• Able to provide excellent customer service by assessing customer needs and meeting high quality standards.
• Extensive standing/walking (approx. 70%/30% of shift).
• Must lift, pull, push, and carry 50 lbs. frequently.
• Requires constant balancing, grasping, and finger dexterity.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and seeing.
• Requires frequent talking, hearing, and hand/wrist/arm use.
• Walk on either level or uneven surface frequently.
• Occasional climbing.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in finding products, making selections, and sharing product knowledge.
• Strictly verify IDs to ensure all sales are made only to customers 21 and over, screen for intoxication, and maintain situational awareness for loss prevention.
• Process transactions accurately at a cash register, handle cash and card payments, give correct change, and balance the till at the end of a shift.
• Assist in receiving, inspecting, storing, and displaying merchandise.
• Fill wholesale liquor orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required.
• Maintain the facility in a clean, orderly, and safe condition (including occasional light maintenance like clearing sidewalks).
• Assist with inventory spot-checks and help support store operations during peak times or in the absence of management.
