About The Position

As a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you will work with a team in a Verizon retail store to drive sales and help customers find technology products and services that meet their needs. The role involves delivering customer service, identifying customer needs, recommending complete solutions, and closing sales. You will also develop your knowledge through ongoing training in merchandising and inventory operations, contact interested existing Verizon customers, and may represent Verizon at sponsored off-site community events.

The position is onsite at a defined work location and is scheduled for 40 hours per week. Compensation includes an hourly base rate of $16.00 to $21.00, plus commission based on individual sales performance. The posting describes potential annual commission earnings and total compensation, which vary by geography, hours worked, and performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules are provided four weeks in advance.
• Openness to picking up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales through technology knowledge and customer service.
• Learn and uncover customer needs by building connections and asking questions.
• Recommend products and solutions that address customers’ needs.
• Close sales using clear communication and intuitive technology solutions.
• Complete ongoing training and develop skills in merchandising and inventory operations.
• Place outbound calls and send text messages to current Verizon customers interested in products and services.
• Engage with the community outside the store, including at Verizon-sponsored events.
