About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate creates a friendly, clean, and safe atmosphere where customers and donors feel welcome and comfortable. The role provides fast, friendly service, supports donors with their donations, helps maintain and organize the store and donation center, and participates in fundraising activities for AbleLight. Additional duties may be assigned during the workday.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• Able to stand on feet for up to eight hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer telephone inquiries and respond to customers professionally.
• Assist donors by transferring merchandise from their vehicles to the building and offering tax receipts to every donor.
• Keep the inside and outside of the donation center organized and clean.
• Assist with stocking the sales floor, rotating stock, creating displays, and organizing merchandise.
• Participate in and support fundraising for AbleLight through register round-ups and other events initiated by AbleLight.
• Perform other duties assigned during the workday.
