About The Position
My Wireless, an AT&T Authorized National Retailer, is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to help customers find technology solutions through AT&T products and services. The associate engages with customers, explains available offerings, and guides them through the buying process in a customer-focused retail environment. The role includes paid training and opportunities for career growth and advancement, including potential opportunities on the management team. The position is based at the Weslaco, Texas store and is full-time, with base pay and commission. Associates are expected to meet performance goals and AT&T standards, contribute to a clean and welcoming store, work collaboratively toward individual and team goals, and participate in marketing activities. The position may also involve other related duties to meet the organization’s needs. The job requires standing and walking for prolonged periods, occasional lifting and moving of objects up to 10 pounds, and frequent reaching. Duties may also involve climbing or balancing on ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and handling small display materials and merchandise. Associates must be able to work with small parts in mobile phones and look at a computer screen for prolonged periods; vision requirements may be met with eyeglasses or contacts. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Experience in retail or a customer-facing sales environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 18 years of age and legally able to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including prolonged standing and walking, occasional lifting and moving of objects up to 10 pounds, frequent reaching, and possible climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and handling small merchandise or display materials.
- Ability to work with small parts in mobile phones and view a computer screen for prolonged periods; eyeglasses or contacts may be used to meet vision requirements.
