About The Position

Sun Tan City is hiring a Retail Sales Associate for its tanning salon. The role focuses on providing professional customer service, building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and recommending products and services. Associates help meet minimum sales requirements, keep salon spaces and equipment clean, and work collaboratively in an upbeat, fast-paced environment while following company policies and procedures. The posting lists pay of $15.75 to $17.75 per hour plus bonuses.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to provide professional customer service and engage effectively with clients.
• Ability to make product and service recommendations and maintain minimum sales requirements.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced salon environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
• Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
• Engage with clients, build relationships, and understand and meet their needs.
• Recommend products and services to clients.
• Maintain minimum sales requirements.
• Multitask by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients as they arrive.
• Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
• Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment and follow company policies and procedures.
• Use basic computer skills and knowledge.
