About The Position

The Temporary Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; prepares and merchandises products; and helps maintain store recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. The associate also supports store shrink-reduction goals and performs other duties as assigned. This is a part-time temporary position at Marshalls Store 0566 in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Starting pay is $16.25 to $16.75 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
May be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.
