About The Position

The Temporary Part Time Retail Sales Associate at Marshalls is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, helping Associates process merchandise efficiently, and contributing to an organized store and positive customer experience. The role involves coordinating merchandise flow from truck delivery to the sales floor, training and coaching Associates, maintaining backroom and merchandising standards, and supporting store safety, compliance, and loss-prevention efforts. The Associate engages with customers and coworkers, communicates priorities and progress to management and Associates, and promotes credit and loyalty programs. The position also includes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience and role-model exceptional customer service.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to support efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan and prioritize work as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate priorities and progress accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
