About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate creates a friendly, clean, and safe atmosphere where customers and donors feel welcome and comfortable. The role provides fast, friendly service and supports the AbleLight charity by helping raise funds through register round-ups and other events. Additional duties may be assigned during the workday.

Requirements

• Must be at least 14 years old.
• Able to lift 40 pounds.
• Able to stand for up to eight hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to customers professionally.
• Assist donors with donations by transferring merchandise from donor vehicles into the building and offering tax receipts to every donor.
• Keep the inside and outside of the donation center organized and clean.
• Assist with stocking the sales floor, rotating stock, and organizing and displaying merchandise.
• Support fundraising for AbleLight through register round-ups and other events initiated by AbleLight.
• Help maintain a welcoming and comfortable experience for customers and donors.
