About The Position

Verizon is hiring a full-time, Spanish-bilingual Retail Sales Associate to work onsite at a defined retail location. The role focuses on creating strong customer connections, understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products and services, and closing sales using clear communication and intuitive technology solutions. Associates also develop their skills through ongoing training and operational work in merchandising and inventory. The position may include outreach to current Verizon customers by phone or text and participation in off-site Verizon-sponsored community events. The role offers a base hourly wage and individual sales commissions. For the Illinois locations listed in the requisition, the starting base pay is $18.27 per hour. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance. The position is commission-based, with the potential to earn additional compensation by meeting or exceeding sales goals. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules are provided four weeks in advance.
Willingness to pick up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.
Fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Generate retail sales by using technology knowledge and customer service to expand the Verizon network.
Learn and uncover customers’ needs by building connections and asking questions.
Recommend products and solutions that provide customers with a complete sales solution.
Close sales by communicating effectively and providing simple, intuitive technology solutions.
Develop skills through ongoing training and upskill in operational functions across merchandising and inventory.
Potentially grow a customer base through outbound calls and text messages to current Verizon customers interested in Verizon products and services.
Engage with the community outside the store, including at off-site Verizon-sponsored events.
