About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate, also described as a Retail Customer Service Representative (Pawnbroker), for its EZPawn store in Texas City, Texas. The role provides daily customer interactions involving sales and pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team Members are expected to create a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment while helping customers reach mutually satisfying agreements. The company offers a structured career path, including paid trainee training, pawnbroker certification, and opportunities to advance to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Manager) and Store Manager in Training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Self-motivated, with a positive and outgoing personality and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers in person and by phone, providing excellent customer service.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Follow Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
