About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate delivers a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers and applying the company’s customer experience principles. The role also helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store; follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards; and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; prepares merchandise for the sales floor; and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety awareness, and shrink-reduction efforts. The position follows applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be cross-trained to work in multiple store areas to support business needs.
