About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service, help customers identify automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support store sales and operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by assisting customers with automotive needs, offering product advice, and contributing to a positive retail environment. The role supports team productivity, sales goals, store organization, and safe, efficient operations. Associates also help customers with select installations and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
