About The Position

The Temporary Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfactory customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; prepares and merchandises products for the sales floor; and contributes to store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The associate provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback, follows labor laws and company procedures, and performs other duties as assigned. The position is at Marshalls Store 1013 in Huntersville, North Carolina, with a starting pay range of $13.25 to $13.75 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
