About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member, also referred to as a Pawnbroker, for Value Pawn & Jewelry in West Palm Beach, Florida. The role offers a career path beginning with a five-week paid trainee program. Upon completion, trainees receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees may pursue Pawnbroker Certification for an additional $1 per hour, advance to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), or apply for Assistant Manager, which includes a six-month training program.

The position involves daily customer interaction and helping customers reach mutually satisfying agreements involving pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer experience in a fast-paced retail store. The listed pay range is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, based on experience, with additional bonus potential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.
• Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and interacting with customers in person and over the phone.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
