About The Position

The Silver Stem Fine Cannabis (SSFC) Retail Sales Associate, also known as a Budtender, represents the company at the retail level and serves as a primary point of interaction with patrons. The role helps customers enjoy their experience, learn about cannabis products and accessories, and encourages them to return. It also supports the functionality and efficiency of the store while working with SSFC staff, the corporate team, vendors, and others. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with compensation of $16.00–$16.50 per hour. Medical, vision, and dental coverage are offered to full-time employees only.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of different cannabis strains and products.
Experience working in a retail or customer service environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of essential computer functions and ability to learn various software and programs.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Must obtain a valid Employee Badge from the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division before the date of hire.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds individually.
Ability to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods.

Responsibilities

Perform all Front Desk Associate duties and responsibilities.
Conduct patient intake at dual-use and medical licensed locations.
Greet and assist customers, vendors, and visitors according to check-in protocol.
Use proper phone and email etiquette.
Understand the Silver Seeds membership program and its benefits.
Understand the Primary Patient Program and its benefits.
Use SSFC’s Flowhub point-of-sale system.
Complete opening and closing procedures.
Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain a balanced cash register.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Add products to virtual shopping carts in the POS while adhering to state-mandated daily sales limits.
Provide product recommendations and educate customers about cannabis products.
Follow state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales, as well as SSFC policies and procedures.
Assist with daily store operations and inventory audit procedures.
Maintain knowledge of company security requirements.
