About The Position

Sun Tan City is hiring a Retail Sales Associate for its Smyrna, Tennessee salon. The role focuses on customer service, building relationships with clients, recommending products and services, and meeting minimum sales requirements. Associates also clean tanning equipment and maintain salon spaces while working with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced environment. Employees may sometimes work independently during a shift as business needs require. Compensation starts at $13.00 per hour, with performance bonuses and average earnings of $15.00 per hour for team members who meet performance and training criteria; $15.00 per hour is not guaranteed.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to provide professional customer service and engage with clients.
Ability to make product and service recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced salon environment.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up items from floors.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.

Responsibilities

Perform basic computer tasks.
