About The Position

As a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you will work with a retail team to drive sales, provide customer service, and help customers find technology solutions. You will learn about customers’ needs, recommend products and solutions, close sales, and continue developing through training in sales and operational functions such as merchandising and inventory. The role may include contacting interested Verizon customers by phone or text and attending Verizon-sponsored events off-site to build customer relationships. The position is onsite at a defined work location and offers 40 scheduled weekly hours. Spanish and English fluency are required. Compensation includes base pay of $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, individual sales commissions, and potentially an additional annual bilingual payment in eligible locations after passing a language assessment. Total compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules are provided four weeks in advance.
• Openness to picking up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales through technology knowledge and customer service.
• Identify customers’ needs by building connections and asking questions.
• Recommend products and solutions that address customers’ needs.
• Close sales by communicating clearly and providing intuitive technology solutions.
• Participate in ongoing training and develop skills in merchandising and inventory operations.
• Contact interested current Verizon customers by outbound calls and text messages to develop the customer base.
• Engage with the community at off-site Verizon-sponsored events.
