About The Position

Peacock Alley is seeking a warm, polished, product-passionate Retail Sales Associate for its Dallas showroom, an on-site luxury linen and bedding retail location in Uptown Dallas. The role combines sales, customer service, styling advice, and hospitality. The associate will guide customers through the brand’s collections, build relationships with repeat clientele, and help create an elevated shopping experience while maintaining the showroom’s presentation and operations. The position offers a flexible part-time schedule of up to 30 hours per week and compensation of $21.00 per hour plus commissions. Weekend, holiday, and special-event availability is needed as required. Candidates should bring professionalism and personal presentation suited to a luxury environment, a passion for products and customer connection, and demonstrated on-site retail or customer-service experience in a high-end market.

Requirements

At least 8 years of on-site retail or customer-service experience in a high-end customer market.
Professionalism and personal presentation consistent with a luxury environment.
Genuine passion for beautiful products and ability to connect naturally with customers.
Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
Comfort with point-of-sale systems and basic computer tools.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Previous successful on-site retail experience in a luxury, home décor, or lifestyle brand environment.
Advanced education coursework in design, fashion, or hospitality, or currently working toward a degree in one of these fields.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

Welcome and engage customers with warmth and professionalism appropriate to a luxury brand.
Explain collections, fabrics, product care, and design pairings to customers.
Provide personalized styling recommendations for cohesive bedroom and bath collections.
Build lasting relationships with repeat clientele through attentive follow-up.
Work toward individual and store sales goals through consultative, customer-first selling.
Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries professionally.
Process transactions accurately using the Shopify point-of-sale system.
Develop expertise in Peacock Alley product lines, materials, and seasonal collections.
Communicate the brand’s heritage and craftsmanship story to customers.
Support visual merchandising and display standards and maintain an organized, well-presented showroom.
Receive, tag, and stock merchandise and assist with inventory counts.
Process special orders and communicate timelines to customers.
Support opening and closing procedures and follow loss prevention policies.
