About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate is the store’s customer service specialist and reports to the Store Manager. The associate is responsible for exceeding customer expectations by listening to customer needs, finding suitable products, providing in-depth product information, and completing sales. The position also supports store operations, merchandising, shipment processing, cashiering, fitting-room standards, and management-assigned projects. The position is located at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, California. The posting lists compensation starting at $18.50 per hour. Full-time availability requires an average of at least 32 hours per week based on business seasonality, open weekend availability, and availability restrictions limited to two days per week. Part-time availability requires an average of at least 12 hours per week based on business seasonality and open weekend availability. Religious exemptions to weekend availability will be considered. Requirements

Strong communication skills.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
Ability to stand for long periods, read computer terminals, and push, pull, move, lift, or carry objects weighing at least 25 pounds.
Ability to maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom and perform repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
High school diploma or GED, or six months of retail or related experience.
For full-time availability: average at least 32 hours per week based on business seasonality, open weekend availability (religious exemptions considered), and availability restrictions limited to two days per week.
For part-time availability: average at least 12 hours per week based on business seasonality and open weekend availability (religious exemptions considered).

Responsibilities

Meet and exceed sales goals.
Maintain brand and operational standards, including visual presentation and cleanliness.
Proactively manage customer needs and exceed expectations by using the U.N.I.Q.L.O. service standard, following the Uniqlo Fundamental Principles, and saying the six standard phrases.
Know fitting-room standards and assist when needed.
Act as cashier when required and follow cashier protocol.
Process shipments and ensure all merchandise is represented on the sales floor in full size runs.
Assist management in identifying and resolving store issues.
Provide customers with product and brand knowledge.
Follow company policies and procedures and notify management of infractions.
Assist with special projects assigned by management.
